Just a very quick post of the latest pictures from Guy N so that you can see how close we are. In the first picture we are looking south from with the gap for the accommodation crossing just beyond the end of the rails.
The next view shows clearly the gap and how far we have to go before we can fit the 'Golden Spike'
Looking back towards Oswestry we can see the materials waiting to fill the gap but first we need to lay in some drainage around the crossing.
Excavations have already started and will continue so that we can link up the drains to keep this area free of standing water.
Watch this space... or rather watch this hole as is gets treated to the CHR speciality, dig holes and then fill them up.
