Work Continues At Park Hall

Over the weekend Norman and the team continued with clearance at Park Hall. During the summer Mother Nature continues to play hide and seek as the vegetation creeps back along the platform. The volunteers continued with uncovering the platform including the part that was added during WWII as the troop movements intensified. 

The team also pushed on with clearing the line towards Gobowen.  Norman took the following pictures to show the latest progress.

The halt platform has again been cleared of vegetation.

This view shows on the right just how much vegetation grows in two weeks during the summer.

Most of the tarmac surface to the halt platform has been uncovered.

The cut back area shows the addition to the platform as the halt was extended to cope with the wartime traffic.
